KEY THEMES OF THE 2019 FULL MOON IN TAURUS

Letting go of what you think you need.

Establishing your foundation for personal and professional growth in 2020.

Taurus Vibes and Full Moon Insights

This Full Moon occurs on Tuesday, November 12th, 8:34am EST; at 19° Taurus 52

Calm, sensual Taurus is a loyal friend and a passionate lover. This energy is naturally drawn to stability, consistency and material comfort. Taurus is patient and values integrity, with a willingness to work as long and hard as it takes to produce high-quality results. It has a strong sense of self worth and personal values. At risk of becoming ‘too comfortable’, this energy can also express stubbornness and fear of change.

The combination of the Full Moon’s vibes with the influence of Mercury retrograde calls for self care! Being gentle with yourself is a strong theme for the month of November, and is especially emphasized during this Full Moon. The good news is that strong Taurus energy now can help you to create better stability by prioritizing personal needs.

These vibes are focused on integrating past experiences, and point to a powerful experience of catharsis or personal healing. Emotional Water element vibes are heightened during this Full Moon by trines involving the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio with Neptune and Lilith in Pisces just a few days prior (Neptune and Lilith are thus also sextile to the Full Moon). This very much supports the healing of trauma and/or long-held grievances through a radical act of compassion, or forgiveness. The influence of Neptune also points to a breakthrough in self and/or spiritual awareness.

This Full Moon can bring a tendency to feel like you don’t have enough, so you may need to reconcile with what you ‘think’ you need. Reflecting on your recent accomplishments, and the blessings in your life can help you regain perspective. You may also need to reconnect with your support network, spending quality time with those you love.  At the same time, consider who in your life truly relies on you as their ‘rock’ for strength and support; sometimes helping others is what brings the healing you seek.

We can start to feel the influence of the December/January Eclipse Season as early as Nov 11th, meaning that this this Full Moon can be an early indication of shifts that will set the tone for the next 6 months. Saturn and Pluto, nearly conjunct in Capricorn, play a key role in these Full Moon’s vibes as well: they’re activated by a sextile to both the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, and thus also a trine to the Moon in Taurus. The influence of these transformational energies sparks a focus on your longer-term journey towards success, personal accomplishment and financial security.

This Full Moon can help you make exciting strides on your journey, or they can help you to establish more supportive circumstances for advancements in the coming 6-8 months. Saturn’s influence serves to bring ‘karmic rewards’, according to the patterns and habits you’ve been maintaining. If you have consistently expressed self-discipline, focus and perseverance towards your long-term vision of success over the last few months, things can really start to line up now.

At the same time, an energetic theme that’s beginning to emerge now, and will continue through 2020, calls for the examination and potential re-definition of your idea of success. As a part of this process, you may need to reconcile with Taurus’ potential for stubbornness, and resistance to taking risks.

2019 Taurus Full Moon ‘POWER PERIOD’

We feel the heightened energy of a Full Moon about 3 days before and after it occurs; I call this the Full Moon Power Period.

Those who have their natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant or other key placements in the Power Period signs will feel the influence of this Full Moon most intensely.

  • Nov 9 – 10th (until late afternoon) in Aries
  • Nov 10 evening – 12th in Taurus
  • Nov 13- 15th (until mid-morning) in Gemini

Tuning Into The Healing Energy of Full Moons

Being healed doesn’t mean that the pain never existed.  It means you have evolved to a place where it no longer controls your life.

img_8223-3Working consciously with the energy of the Full Moon means that you can tap into its power to bring awareness to residual emotions from past experiences and/or self-limiting beliefs that may be operating beneath the level of conscious awareness.  By consciously acknowledging these energies, you allow for the opportunity to cleanse and heal pain, grief or other traumas.  During the Full Moon, your sensitivities are heightened – you are literally FEELING more intensely and the potential for healing can be accessed by leaning into and exploring the emotions that arise.  Feeling is the first step towards healing.  You can use the energy of the Full Moon to;

  • Forgive yourself as well as others
  • Release emotional emotional ‘charges’
  • Integrate past experiences, acknowledging the associated lesson or wisdom and taking on a fresh perspective
  • Evolve out of a victim mentality
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the unconscious desires, fears or needs that drive your behavior

Exaggerations or Shadows of Taurus Energy:

The Moon influences the emotions which guide our desires and decisions around our sense of security.

With the heightened energetic influence of the Full Moon, be mindful of these excessive tendencies so that you may work consciously to bring your emotions into balance:

  • Feeling a sense of insecurity (or lack) about your material successes
  • Greed
  • Resistance to change; fear of taking a risk
  • Possessiveness in relationships

Taurus energy is hard working, focused and driven to succeed but when exaggerated can become greedy, self-righteous or closed off to the opinions of others.  Despite how you may be feeling in the moment, this is a time to take a step back from being defined by what you have (or don’t have), or what you have (or have not) accomplished in life.
