Mars energy is strong this month! From 1/2 until 2/14, Mars is in his home sign of Aries, and triggering astrological 'square' aspects to the Sun and the South Node as well as outer planets Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. The best way I can describe the energy of Mars is that he rules how you assert your fundamental needs and desires - the answer to the question, do you operate in agressive, assertive, passive agressive ways...? This Mars in Aries 'season' brings a time of redefinition, seeing yourself or having others see you under a new light, and stepping into new forms or expression with greater confidence. On Friday, Mars squares Pluto (the Shiva archetype, god of descruction, power and radical transformation). Squares bring 'pressure' and this can feel like heaviness or limitation; being held back. Opressive forces seem even more stifling now and the urge to break free (asserting your independence and individuality) can become desperate. Intensifying these vibes, Mars meets up with Uranus on 2/12 (we're starting to feel this energy as early as today). Uranus is the god of lightning, the god of rebellion and also the ruler of our core authentic expressions. When these expressions are being supressed for too long, they eventually release in explosive ways. Two things to reflect on now as we move through these energetic influences consciously; 1) How do you assert yourself when the need arises? Do you USE your power or give it away? What do you feel you need to PROVE to anyone else? 2) What's ready to be expressed for you, that you might have been containing within up until this point? What's ready to be released? Weekly Lunar Astrovibes! ✨🌓The Moon’s light waning all through the week means that if you need to rest, do it. Energetically, this is a time to regroup, tie up loose ends and let go. A theme for the Waning Quarter Moon in Scorpio (yesterday and today) is forgiveness and letting go of residual hurts from past relationships. Another theme for the week is patience – for yourself and for others. Whether you can see it or not, your day-to-day efforts and attitude are contributing in important ways to what you are ultimately manifesting for yourself ✨Monday, Moon in Scorpio – focused and loyal; even obsessive. Generous and passionate in relationships. On an emotional front this energy can be extremely sensitive, almost haunted by old wounds from the past. The Waning Quarter Moon means it’s a time to forgive (yourself and others), having faith that the past will not repeat itself. ✨ Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until the evening, Moon in Sagittarius – free-spirited, curious, impulsive and loving life. These vibes are high-energy and optimistic – even impatient at times. You’re more inclined to chase new experiences or dive into learning more about a subject that ignites your passion. The shadow expressions of this energy however are over-confidence with a tendency to speak harshly or abruptly (think foot-in-mouth). Remember compassion and tact. I LOVE Ylang Ylang right now for this waning quarter Moon in Scorpio AND for all of the Pluto-activated vibes we've been experiencing this month! 😲😁Look what I made! ✨ Today I wanted to highlight the MASCULINE energy elements, Air and Fire 💨🔥 Both of these are highlighted now as the Moon passes through Libra (an AIR sign), and Mars (FIRE) energy is strongly emphasized now. On the very broadest level, Air element rules relationships and Fire element rules action. The Air influence is ‘short term’ with the Moon disseminating in Libra until early morning Sunday. But this means it's time to take stock of relationships (and the 'balance' of all elements of your life) with the willingness to let go of what no longer fits. Mars, ruling your ego and motivation, is in his HOME sign of Aries and these vibes are amplified further all month through square (Saturn & Pluto) and trine (Jupiter) aspects. The Mars in Aries season (1/2-2/14) represents re-examining and evolving your sense of self, which allows you to express your needs and desires more confidently. You can become more comfortable in your own skin now on a whole new level. In the wake of this month's Solar and Lunar eclipses, you are still shedding all that no longer serves you and that especially includes relationships (or elements of relationships) that no longer align with your core ideals and values.
